We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Floor Manager to oversee daily operations in our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining a high standard of food safety and quality. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, food preparation, and overall restaurant operations.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control.
- Manage team performance through effective training, mentoring, and leadership, fostering a positive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the establishment.
- Assist in food production as required, demonstrating culinary skills when necessary.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
- Collaborate with management to develop menus and implement new recipes or specials.
- Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and kitchen equipment, placing orders as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry is essential.
- Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Background in team management, demonstrating effective leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is crucial for this position.
- Previous experience in hotel or barista settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
