Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily bar and restaurant operations, including staffing, inventory, and shift planning
  • Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and hygiene standards
  • Maintain high standards of drink presentation and quality
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
  • Coordinate with kitchen and events teams during busy periods and special occasions
  • Drive sales through promotions, upselling, and local marketing initiatives
  • Monitor budgets and labour costs while maintaining optimal staffing levels

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bar Manager, Assistant Manager, or Hospitality Supervisor
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and bar equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure in high-volume, late-night settings
  • Experience with POS systems, stock control, and rota planning
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and customer experience
