Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in both commercial and residential settings. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a variety of environments. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with practical skills in welding, carpentry, and the use of hand and power tools to contribute to high-quality projects.

Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical techniques to complete tasks efficiently.
- Conduct inspections to identify issues with existing plumbing systems and determine appropriate solutions.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for installation or repairs.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and fit pipes using carpentry skills where necessary.
- Assist with the assembly of plumbing components and related systems in new constructions or renovations.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing installation and maintenance.
- Proficiency with welding, hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Experience with carpentry is desirable for custom fittings or modifications.
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving where necessary.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to working with heavy equipment and confined spaces.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail. Candidates should be physically fit, dependable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team in various environments. A proactive attitude towards safety and quality is essential for success in this role.
