Workplace: ITV Manchester, Media City + Hybrid - expectation is 2 days in the office per week.

The team..

Join a team that champions accuracy, celebrates collaboration, and genuinely cares about the people we support. The Talent Payments Team at ITV is a close-knit group known for its supportive culture, problem-solving mindset, and passion for delivering a brilliant service to talent, producers, and internal partners. No two days are the same, and we work together to navigate challenges, share knowledge, and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes of some of the UK's most iconic television moments.

The role..

This 6-month fixed-term contract offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role within ITV's Talent Payments function. Reporting into the Talent Payments Manager, you will help ensure the accurate and timely processing of talent-related payments while upholding compliance with ITV policies, HMRC regulations, and data governance standards.

You'll support the team by managing data, resolving queries, and maintaining the integrity of the TalentPay system. This role is essential to guaranteeing smooth operations across People Payments, Production, Finance, and other internal stakeholders. With a strong focus on customer service, accuracy, and collaboration, you'll contribute to a high-performing team that supports ITV's diverse talent base throughout the full payment lifecycle.

Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Process accurate and compliant talent payments, including primary and residual/royalty payments, from initial setup through to programme sale.
  • Prepare, review, and submit contracts and associated documentation for prompt payment processing.
  • Maintain and update legal, contractual, and personal data in line with Talent Payments policies, HMRC rules, GDPR requirements, and union agreements.
  • Ensure secure handling of confidential information, including banking details and sensitive documentation.
  • Onboard Talent, Service Companies, Agents, and Independent Producers into the TalentPay system.
  • Provide first-line support for Talent Payments queries, resolving issues via inbox, helpdesk, or phone in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform regular data cleansing and reconciliation activities to maintain system accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with People Payments, HR, Finance, and other internal teams to maintain seamless service delivery.
  • Support the development and tracking of KPIs and contribute to team goals and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide cover for team members where required and engage in ongoing learning and development opportunities.

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

  • 5 GCSEs at grades A–C including English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Recent experience (within the last 2–3 years) in an administrative, payroll, finance, or customer service support role, involving regular data handling or transaction processing.
  • Demonstrable accuracy in high-volume data entry or payment processing, evidenced through previous roles involving financial, payroll, or system-based transactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, or Google Sheets and Docs, including ability to work with spreadsheets and structured data.
  • Experience managing and responding to queries in a professional setting, such as shared inboxes, helpdesks, or customer service channels.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information securely, with working knowledge of GDPR or data protection practices.

Other things we're looking for (key criteria)

  • Ability to maintain exceptional attention to detail while working with complex or high-volume data.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively.
  • Clear and confident verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain processes and resolve queries professionally.
  • Proven capability to build positive working relationships and operate as a collaborative team member.
  • Demonstrated resilience and composure when working under pressure or managing time-sensitive tasks.
  • Adaptability in response to changing workloads, priorities, or system/process updates.
  • Sound problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues, investigate root causes, and suggest improvements.
  • Comfortable working within established policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Awareness of or interest in payroll, finance, or payments processes, with willingness to learn technical aspects quickly.
  • Commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, ensuring fairness and respect in all interactions.

Please note, on occasion we may receive a very large volume of applications which means applications for a role may close earlier than the referenced closing date. We'd encourage you to apply as soon as possible if interested.
