Small Talk Nurseries Castle Bromwich, B36 8NG is rapidly growing and we are seeking like-minded practitioners who are fully Level 3 qualified in Childcare to join our Ofsted 'Good' family.

Duties:

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children in the early years
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Collaborate with parents and families to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's learning journey
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children

Experience:

- Minimum of 1 years of experience working with young children in an early years setting

- Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education

- Familiarity with EYFS and standards for early years education

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues

- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognised Level 3 Childcare qualification, e.g. Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development
  • Completion of Safeguarding Awareness course (desirable)
  • Paediatric First Aid certificate (Required)

The position is an immediate start, working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday between 7.30am-6.00pm.

Due to the nature of the work, we will require an additional criminal records check (or checks if more than one country) for anyone who has lived or worked abroad.

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
