Location: Station Road Lifton

Salary: £12.72 per hour, Sat & Sun 16 hours a week

Saturday 6.00am -10.00am

Sunday 6.00am -14.30pm then 18.00pm -22.00pm

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join our culinary team in Lifton, Devon, United Kingdom. As our new Cook, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests, leading the kitchen team, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

  • Oversee weekend kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and service 
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health, and safety in the kitchen
  • Manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment
  • Collaborate with the management team to achieve financial targets and control food costs
  • Ensure consistent food quality and presentation across all dishes
  • Respond to customer feedback and continuously improve the dining experience
  • Stay up-to-date with culinary trends and techniques to enhance the restaurant's offerings
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Cook with a track record of working in a kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and food presentation
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to lead & motivate a kitchen team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Valid food safety and hygiene certifications
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Passion for food and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
