Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating innovative and high-quality dishes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations
  • Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
  • Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kitchen
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of ingredients and manage inventory levels effectively
  • Develop new menu items in collaboration with management to keep offerings innovative and appealing
  • Monitor kitchen operations during service periods to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction
  • Assist in serving customers when necessary, providing excellent hospitality experience

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a culinary leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety regulations
  • Supervising experience with the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen management practices
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during busy service times
  • Leadership qualities that motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
  • Good understanding of hospitality standards and customer service excellence
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications preferred but not essential depending on experience

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
