Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our care home. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and meal preparation.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering a supportive and efficient team environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of residents' health status and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to promote a positive atmosphere within the care home.
  • Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transportation.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to senior care practices.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential, preferably within a care home setting.
  • Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding.
  • Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation accurately.
