The Director of Professional Services Northern Region (UK & Ireland, Benelux and Nordics) will manage a team of Engagement Managers whose role is to ensure that our customers are getting the best from the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, by positioning, preparing, and managing the follow-up of Professional Services and training engagements. Your successful track record of partnering with Sales and Field Engineering teams will ensure our Professional Services organisation makes the greatest impact in the use cases that matter the most, as well as closing revenue and growing consumption as a result. You will actively guide and get involved to enhance your team's effectiveness, scaling out your commercial skills, guiding investment areas, supporting complex sales cycles and building relationships with important customers in large corporations. You will report directly to the Sr. Director for Professional Services.
The impact you will have:
- Collaborate with the Sales Leaders and Account Executives to develop regional PS strategies that put Databricks and our customers first, to achieve the company mission
- Conceive and drive creative strategies to focus the team to goal, actioning opportunities for your team to most positively affect consumption of the Databricks Lakehouse
- Own and drive hiring and building the Engagement Manager team, scaling as needed without sacrificing quality
- Deliver accurate (+/- 5% of actuals) weekly forecasts against bookings, revenue and margin targets
- Act as the Professional Services sponsor assigned to important regional accounts to lead executive alignment and accelerated $DBU growth
- Develop and deliver enablement content on the Professional Services model and associated processes our PS, FE & Sales teams. Provide thought leadership to develop our service offerings and playbooks with the company goals and Databricks product evolution.
What we look for:
- Consistent track record of success in a Professional Services leadership role, including managing and scaling a senior and high impact team
- Proven experience in senior customer-facing roles that require a mix of influencing, validating, understanding and execution
- Experience rapidly scaling a business including developing a clear strategy for growth across business and people development
- Data and AI domain experience working with large enterprises to realise business value from discovery to production implementations
- Works collaboratively and cross-functionally across go-to-market teams including Sales, Partners, Technical Field driving shared objectives and key results (OKRs)
- Being adept in coaching others to develop their careers and their commercial skills around deals
- Data and AI domain knowledge and experience working with customers to realise business value through to production implementations
- Excellent customer-facing skills with Senior Executives as well as other stakeholders both internally and externally
- Strong service delivery and program management skills with the ability to synthesise desired customer outcomes into well-structured program plans that meet such outcomes
- Travel is required up to 30%
