Job Summary

We are seeking committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a Special School in Benfleet. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Working as a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to support students, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. This role provides excellent professional development opportunities for those looking to make a positive difference in the lives of young people with SEND.

Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday. Immediate start if you have an enhanced DBS and can provide us references.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEND.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and personalised lessons.
  • Help to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to staff.
  • Support students in developing social, communication, and academic skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with SEND students is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children with special educational needs.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Pay: £103.00-£110.00 per day
