In this role, you will plan, conduct, and report on audits of processes, systems, and products, ensuring alignment with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. You will identify non-conformities, uncover opportunities for improvement, and assess potential risks—making sure your findings are clearly documented and effectively communicated to stakeholders.

Job Purpose

The Internal Quality Auditor will support the NEBDN team by collating and evidencing all areas of compliance. Reporting to the Internal Quality Manager, the role will ensure deadlines for regulatory reporting are met and contribute to fostering a culture of quality assurance and continuous improvement across the organisation.

The Role

As an Internal Quality Auditor, you will play a key role in supporting NEBDN's quality assurance and compliance activities. You will:

  • Plan, conduct, and report on internal audits, ensuring all teams meet regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Support ongoing compliance with educational regulatory bodies, including Ofqual, GDC, and ESFA.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual regulatory submissions and self-evaluation processes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous service improvement and monitor action plans to resolve audit outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Internal Quality Manager and wider NEBDN team to promote a culture of quality assurance and best practice.
  • Support unplanned regulatory requests and provide data reporting against key performance indicators (KPIs).

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

  • Internal Quality Assurance, Audit, or a relevant professional qualification.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years conducting audits or quality reviews within a Quality Management Framework.
  • Experience in risk-based quality assurance and service improvement.
  • Previous experience in an awarding or End Point Assessment Organisation is desirable.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes and audit standards.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and report-writing skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
