Community Children's Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a motivated Speech and Language Therapist to work in the Children's Speech and Language Therapy Team covering the North Cumbria area

Working as part of an integrated team you will be required to work with children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs, their families and supporting agencies.

You should have experience working with children and young people, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering excellent care in the heart of the community.

Women & Children's Collaborative, Children Specialist Services provides community clinical services across Cumbria, including, community children's nursing, Occupational therapy & Physiotherapy services, community paediatrics and Audiology.

To work as a member of the paediatric team, providing a speech and language therapy service for pre-school and school age children referred to the service.

To promote health and reduce inequalities for children, young people, families and communities, so that they may be able to maximise their potential in terms of health, education and social well-being.

To work as a member of the integrated team for children throughout the district to ensure high quality co-ordinated patient care using a Care Aims approach.

To accept an agreed range of patients and manage a delegated caseload, providing interventions in an appropriate environment, e.g. Clinic's, special schools and child development centre's.

You will work with children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs, their families and supporting agencies.
