Community Children's Speech and Language Therapist We are seeking a motivated Speech and Language Therapist to work in the Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Team covering the North Cumbria area. As part of an integrated team you will work with children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs, their families and supporting agencies. Key responsibilities: Provide speech and language therapy service for pre-school and school-age children referred to the service. Accept an agreed range of patients and manage a delegated caseload, providing interventions in appropriate settings such as clinics, special schools and child development centres. Work with children, families and supporting agencies to deliver high-quality, coordinated patient care using a Care Aims approach. Promote health and reduce inequalities for children, young people, families and communities. Requirements: Experience working with children and young people. Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering excellent care in the community. Ability to work effectively as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team. We encourage individuals returning to practice to speak to the recruiting manager for further information. Registered Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals may access an agreed preceptorship period.
