Security Shift Supervisor- Full Time/ Rotating Shift

Work location: Texas Health HEB: 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022

Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Rotating Shift; primarily assigned to third shift- 10:30P-7A

During training, schedule will rotate to support cross training and collaboration with other shift supervisors

Here's What You Need

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Associate's Degree preferred

Experience

• 2 years security, law enforcement, or military police required And

• Level III security license (or higher) with hospital, law enforcement, or military security experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if have Level 3) 14 days required And

• ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (maintained annually) 30 days required And

• CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 3 (2 attempts permitted). Biannual recertification 120 days required And

• DL - Drivers License Class C and must be insurable 120 days required And

• TASER Certification Complete Course & Certification (2 attempts permitted). Annual recertification 120 days required

What You Will Do

Oversees operations on assigned shifts:

• Leads security briefings for officers and distributes equipment

• Responds to calls for service and disturbances.

• Reviews shift paperwork and reports

• Participates in the Texas Health Threat Assessment Team for assigned area and monitors for correct utilization.

Performs officer duties as needed:

• Patrols buildings and ground for unlocked secured areas for after hour entry.

• Locks and opens doors according to schedules.

• Provides individual and group escorts to and from parking areas

• Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property

• Enforces campus parking policies/cite violations

Provides training for officers:

• Orientates new employees

• Attends assigned meetings and shares information

Provides manager with input for:

• Employee selection

• Progressive discipline

• Employee evaluations
