Bid Manager

Falcon Green are working alongside a specialist civil engineering contractor best known for their track record in delivering rail, aviation, energisation, telecoms and heavy civil projects across Britain and Ireland.

Due to substantial organic growth, they are now seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join their UK division and oversee end-to-end bid process. With circa £50m already secured for next year, it is an exciting time to come onboard.

The ideal candidate will have extensive rail/heavy civils experience and have a proven track record of successful bids in the region of £5-20m in value. However, candidates coming from other civil engineering disciplines will also considered. You will be based from head office in West London with UK wide travel as and when required.

Bid Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Direct detailed tender process.
• Create tenders- financial operational cost budgets and define tender deliverables.
• Design a bid management and tender deliverable approach for the business, in line with group procedures.
• Be able to manage tenders and assign tender duties across a wide range of infrastructure- rail, electrical, telecoms etc
• Programme in bid submission documents with submission teams
• Be central point of contact with Client team.
• Meet with key subcontractors to assess methodology and programme.
• Preparation the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation
• Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer.

Bid Manager Key Requirements:

• Proven capability in managing and winning, multi-million-pound tenders.
• Ideally has a background in tendering and experience of bid management from opportunity identification through to project win.
• Must be comfortable working at a senior level and interacting with customers at CEO/Director Level.
• They will be fully conversant with the competitive marketplace and have an understanding of commercial risk and opportunity.
• Must be an excellent communicator.
