Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Minister of Religion to serve our community through spiritual leadership and guidance. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering sermons, providing pastoral care, and fostering a welcoming environment for congregants. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals in their spiritual journeys and promoting community cohesion.

Duties

  • Deliver engaging sermons and religious teachings during services and special events
  • Offer pastoral care, counselling, and support to individuals and families in need
  • Organise and lead religious ceremonies such as weddings, baptisms, and funerals
  • Facilitate community outreach programmes and spiritual education classes
  • Provide guidance on moral and ethical issues according to religious doctrines
  • Promote active participation within the congregation through organised activities
  • Maintain a visible presence within the community to foster trust and engagement

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in public speaking, teaching, or related roles within a religious setting
  • Coordinating various departments activities in the church.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of religious doctrines, practices, and organisational procedures
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others through compelling delivery and leadership
  • Day to day assignment given by the senior pastor
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
