Sale e Pepe Mare will capture the sun-soaked energy, vibrant dishes, and unmistakable sense of la dolce vita. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the restaurant celebrates the finest seafood while offering a sophisticated dining and bar experience inspired by the Mediterranean coast.

We are seeking a polished, professional, and hospitality-driven Head Waiter/ess to join our opening team and help bring the character and charm of Italian dining culture to life at Sale e Pepe Mare. You will deliver refined service with personality and warmth while ensuring guests feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.

About the Role

The Head Waiter/ess is a key member of the front-of-house team and will ensure the smooth and elegant delivery of service throughout the restaurant. Working closely with the management team, you will take ownership of your section, guide guests through the menu, anticipate their needs, and help create a vibrant, memorable dining experience that reflects the timeless spirit of Italian hospitality.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Head Waiter/ess or Senior Waiter/ess in a premium, fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Strong knowledge of food, wine, and Mediterranean cuisine; seafood experience ideal
  • Impeccable attention to detail, standards, and guest care
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and engaging with guests
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Full ownership and accountability in your role and section
  • Ability to uphold and champion service standards
  • Drive and ambition to develop within a leading hospitality group
  • Proof of right to work / pre-settled or settled status in the UK
