Deputy Respite Care Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the management of daily operations, ensuring high standards of care for our residents. This position requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to quality care, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and their families.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care to residents, including those with Learning Disabilities , Autism and other complex needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and provide training on medication administration and first aid as needed.
- Coordinate meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met for all residents.
- Participate in the development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
- Facilitate communication between staff, residents, and families to promote a supportive environment.
- Developing and reviewing Support plans
- Activity Plans and Goals
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents and visitors.
- Writing an reporting Accidents and Incidents
- Support with CQC and Local Authority Inspections
Requirements
- Previous experience in a respite home or assisted living setting is essential.
- Strong skills in behaviour management and medication administration are advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care.
