SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract term: full time - permanent

Salary: £21,000 per annum

Hours per week: 37.5 Hours (Term time only)

Penarth Group School is a Specialist Independent day School for boys and girls and is part of the Penarth Group. It is registered with the Department for Education (DfE) to meet the needs of up to 27 pupils between the ages of years. Admissions are through Authority placements/referrals.

The Headteacher, along with the Board of Governors at Penarth Group School are seeking to appoint highly motivated and talented individuals to join our school.

The Teaching Assistant shall be responsible for ensuring that the school's aims and ethos permeate all aspects of their work with all students and promote the aims of the school through the implementation of the policies of PGS. In carrying out their duties the Teaching Assistant shall consult with colleagues and parents/carers and to support the Headteacher and staff in the administration of support, intervention and provision.

In carrying out their duties the Teaching Assistant will work collaboratively as part of a team and lead by good example: being punctual and presenting themselves in a professional manner at all times. There will be full engagement and participation in all staff meetings and CPD and carry out their duties as a Teaching Assistant under the direction of the Headteacher/SENDCo.
