You'll be assisting KDN to accelerate new ways of working, using cutting-edge technology and working together with our member firms located in nearly 150 countries to help us achieve our ambition to be the most trusted and trustworthy professional services firm.

Role summary

The GMS GEMS team Manager will work under the guidance of GEMS Leadership and Lead Member Firm Partners who oversee the engagements and remain updated on technical developments in areas like equity taxation, social security, transfer pricing, and more. A large part of this role is to support global client engagements as part of the GEMS network and ensure ongoing client satisfaction through seamless global coordination. A secondary, but equally important, aspect to the role is focusing on the continuous development of our global processes and technology to support the consistency of high levels of service delivery across our client engagements globally. This is an exciting opportunity with scope for progression for the right individual. The successful candidate should have a deep understanding of tax matters, strong communication skills, credibility, and the ability to drive success within the KPMG network.

How will you make your mark?

Talent Management/Relationships: 


• Acts as an ambassador for KPMG more broadly and can effectively and persuasively articulate the KPMG distinctions in formal and informal settings

· Exhibits professionalism, poise, maturity and overall confidence to deal with tough client situations


• Ensures on-going satisfaction of clients by providing a seamless global coordination experience


• Cultivate close professional relationships with local KPMG country teams and recognize the value of a strong network of colleagues to accomplish often complex or sensitive tasks


• Responsible for team performance management

Network/Market: 


• Proven networking skills within and outside the firm or firm equivalent 


• Looks for opportunities to serve our clients in a holistic, pragmatic fashion


• Establishes creditability with key stakeholders immediately; postures him/herself as the face of the firm 

This is the job for you if you have


• Solid experience at manager level or equivalent in a similar Global Mobility Services role


• Sophisticated business sense and identifies effective solutions for the inefficiencies evident in client activities


• Expertise in their national tax systems along with tax savvy in international tax issues more generally (desired)


• Ability to identify broad-based tax matters, both individual and corporate


• Diplomatic: able to convey tough, complex or subtle messages with tact


• Up to date knowledge on technical developments / thought leadership


• Demonstrated interest in tax/employment issues including equity taxation, social security, global compensation, transfer pricing, corporate tax matters, tax technology and basic individual tax compliance).


• A national tax qualification (desired)


• Experience of working with senior stakeholders


• Self-starter that is able to collaborate and execute on priority goals and vision


• Strong quantitative abilities


• High level written and spoken English


• Able to solve complex problems


• Excellent communication skills with ability to build new relationships and leverage existing relationships within KPMG


• Strong interpersonal skills
