About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and fault-finding of a range of fire and security systems across commercial and domestic sites.

You'll be working with modern technology and a variety of systems including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control. This role offers a great opportunity to join a company that values high-quality workmanship, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Carry out fault finding and system testing in line with current standards (BS5839, BS6266, etc.).
  • Conduct routine maintenance visits and respond to callouts as required.
  • Complete accurate service reports, certificates, and relevant documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally on site.
  • Comply with company procedures and health & safety requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Fire and/or Security Engineer (3+ years preferred).
  • Knowledge of major systems such as Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Honeywell, Texecom, Hikvision, Paxton, or similar.
  • Good understanding of relevant British Standards and industry best practices.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Looking for progression to a supervisor role.

Desirable Qualifications

  • FIA Unit training (Fire Detection Design, Installation, Maintenance, etc.)
  • ECS/CSCS card or equivalent.
  • IPAF / PASMA certification.
  • Experience with integrated fire & security solutions.
