At Access Ability, we specialise in supporting young adults with Autism and learning disabilities to grow in confidence, broaden their experiences, and build the skills they need for adult life.

We are looking for a Wellbeing Mentor with experience in support or wellbeing work—someone who is passionate about helping young adults thrive and prepared to play an important role in their personal development and future independence.

About the Role

As a Wellbeing Mentor, you will plan and deliver structured wellbeing sessions designed to help young adults build confidence, improve emotional wellbeing, and develop practical skills that enhance their readiness for employment and independent living.

You will be part of a small, specialist team dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities that expand experiences, raise aspirations, and develop life skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and deliver engaging wellbeing projects for young adults.
  • Provide guidance, encouragement, and support throughout all wellbeing activities.
  • Monitor and record progress, ensuring all documentation is accurate and stored appropriately.
  • Support young adults in establishing routines and completing key tasks related to employment readiness.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to share updates on needs, progress, and achievements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and risk assessments.
  • Uphold high professional standards in all interactions with participants, carers, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Contribute to ongoing organisational development and improvement.
  • Follow all organisational policies and procedures.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to support organisational needs.

About You

While knowledge of Autism and learning disabilities is beneficial, what matters most is that you are:

  • An excellent communicator
  • Proactive and a positive role model for young people
  • A supportive and collaborative team player

A full driving licence is essential for this role.
