Technical Operations Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Operations Analyst to support our underwriting support team. This role will focus on interrogating data sets, identifying trends and issues, and delivering data-driven insights and solutions.
This role will need to have close collaboration with underwriters, operations and other key business stakeholders to help diagnose problems, propose solutions and support any implementation of change.
Key Responsibilities:
Extract and interrogate large and complex data sets from multiple sources.
Identify anomalies, root causes of issues and opportunities for improvement.
Translate raw data into actionable insights for operational teams.
Work with stakeholders to define problems clearly and recommend data-driven solutions.
Work with our MI team to build dashboards and insights into operational performance.
Support implementation of changes by providing analytical evidence and tracking of outcomes.
Collaborate with underwriters, operations, outsource partners and other business functions to understand challenges and implement solutions.
Act as a trusted advisor on data led decision making.
Ensure data quality, consistency and alignment with reporting.
Highlight risks and dependencies associated with data issues or controls gaps.
Contribute to projects, initiatives or investigations (such as risk incidents) by providing robust data analysis and insight.
Skills and experience:
Strong data analysis skills - advanced Excel and Power BI highly desirable.
Proven ability to interrogate large data sets, reconcile discrepancies and generate insights.
Experience in problem solving and solution design within an operational or financial services context.
Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in the insurance or London Market preferred.
Strong organisational skills and ability to deliver to tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.

Comfortable working independently to deliver the objective of a task whilst regularly engaging with stakeholders.
