We are delighted to invite applications for this part time 8A Clinical Psychologist post within the North East Edinburgh CMHT. This would suit a clinical psychologist who has interest and experience in working with patients presenting with psychosis and complex mental health problems and an enthusiasm and talent for multi-disciplinary team working.
Psychology is well established within the multidisciplinary team and there is another part time clinical psychologist in post (0.5wte). The CMHT base is at Inchkeith House, Leith Walk, Edinburgh.
You will provide a highly specialist psychology service to the clients of the NE CMHT which involves the assessment (including neuropsychological assessment), formulation and application of a range of psychological models and associated therapies, appropriate for the CMHT patient group. In addition to the provision of individual and group therapies you will be required to provide support to the multi disciplinary staff team through shared assessments, psychological formulation, team formulation, reflective practice and consultancy. Teaching and training for the CMHT and other colleagues generally will also be a key part of the role and audit and research activity which supports the further development of the service is very much encouraged. There is a strong commitment to professional development of staff within the service.
You will be part of the psychosis and complex mental health psychology service (PCMH) and have excellent support links with your psychology colleagues working in other CMHT and acute adult inpatient services in Edinburgh and West Lothian. This includes our monthly PCMH team meeting and informal CPD. You will also be part of the wider NHS Lothian Psychology service, providing additional links with colleagues in other specialist areas.
The service has close links with the University of Edinburgh D.Clin.Psychol course, providing teaching and specialist training placements.
We would be happy to receive enquiries/applications from applicants who may be completing clinical training over this year.
