Vero Recruitment has been exclusively appointed to recruit a Senior Accountant for a leading Aberdeen headquartered organisation.

The role:

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant will play a critical role within the Group Finance team, providing support across corporate and UK overheads. This position will suit an ambitious finance professional looking to broaden their commercial experience, work closely with a high-performing team, and contribute to a forward-looking organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collating and consolidating monthly Group management accounts
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts, and reporting variances to budget holders
  • Managing statutory accounts, audits, and tax filings for UK entities
  • Overseeing intercompany accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Providing technical accounting support to management accountants and operations finance teams
  • Managing monthly UK VAT returns and capex reporting
  • Maintaining fixed asset registers and ensuring consistent application of accounting policies
  • Supporting internal audit and wider Group finance projects
