Your Role: Assistant Project Manager
Supporting the Roadside Programme team for Global Outdoor, the
Assistant Project Manager
will play a key role in aiding the successful delivery of contractor-managed build plans for the digital upgrade, and expansion of Global Outdoor's digital estate across the UK.

As an
Assistant
Project Manager
at Global, you will:
- Project Planning and Support: Assist in the development and implementation of CAPEX project plans, timelines, and budgets. Track project milestones and ensure tasks are completed according to schedule.
- Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and assist in financial forecasting to ensure costs are within allocated budgets. Prepare cost reports for review by the Project Manager and management team.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain and organise project documentation, including contracts, permits, and regulatory documents, ensuring all records comply with industry standards and company policies.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between internal teams and external contractors to facilitate collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Identify and report on potential project risks or issues, supporting the development of mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Quality Control: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards by coordinating inspections and carrying out site and contractor reviews aligned to project requirements.
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to stakeholders and senior management, highlighting progress and risks.

What Success Looks Like
In your first few months, you'll have:
- Understood the programme deliverables
- Got to know the Programmes and wider operations teams
- Supported the Project Managers in building strong working relationships with key contractors
- Actively assisted in the coordination of successful site installations and ensured project safety standards are met.
- Successfully commissioned and handed over the first of many deployments
What You'll Need
- 2+ years of experience in project management or CAPEX project support, preferably within construction, engineering, or a similar industry.
- Delivery of construction installation and commissioning projects ideally on roadside, highway or rail.
- Experience managing contractors and suppliers, working within NEC3/4 or similar contract management environments.
- Adherence to CDM regulations 2015 and evidence of safety first site management and auditing.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Budget Management Skills: Experience in supporting project cost controls and budgeting.
- Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for effective risk management, scheduling, and problem-solving.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
