VIAVI Solutions is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Contracts Renewals Specialist to manage the end-to-end process of renewing service contracts. This role is critical in maintaining customer satisfaction, ensuring revenue retention, and supporting the commercial strategy through proactive contract management.

This person will be responsible for proactively managing renewals of expiring contracts, while interfacing with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely receipt and processing of renewal contracts. The ideal candidate will require the ability to handle multiple tasks while providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

On a day-to-day basis, the position works closely with the sales and order management teams, providing information, data analysis and recommendations. As part of the role, a general understanding of various VIAVI product lines will be acquired.

The position reports to the Global Renewal Manager. Ideally based in Stevenage, UK, or Edinburgh, UK - a remote base in another European location is possible.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Renewal Execution:

  • Analyse and Identify contracts that are approaching renewal dates.

  • Identify customer owned equipment to generate new renewal opportunities.

  • Facilitate pricing and generate quotes for service contract renewals, acquiring appropriate level of approval for any discounts and/or payment terms.

  • Aid in price negotiations for renewal opportunities.

  • Manage the renewal pipeline and forecast renewal bookings/revenue accurately.

Customer Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal customers regarding contract renewals.

  • Collaborate with account managers and customer success teams to ensure timely and successful renewals.

Data & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of renewal activities in CRM systems.

  • Query and analyse company installed base and service contract database.

  • Provide regular reports and insights to on renewal performance and risks.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline renewal processes and improve customer experience.

  • Implement best practices and automation where applicable.
