Learning4Life-Gy is an independent school providing high-quality, individualized, and culturally inclusive education for students aged 14–19 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school also offers exceptional full-time education for students whose first language is not English. Learning4Life-Gy is fully regulated and registered with the Department for Education and OFSTED. The school operates across two sites located on Freeman Street, Grimsby. Its mission is to empower students with the skills and confidence to thrive academically and socially.

Role Description

The Head of School - Curriculum and Quality will oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of effective curriculums and teaching standards to ensure quality education. Responsibilities include providing leadership to the teaching team, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement in educational outcomes. You will design and drive an ambitious, personalised curriculum that supports young people's independence, communication, and preparation for adulthood. With strong experience in SEND education, you will lead staff development, quality assurance, and school improvement to ensure outstanding outcomes for all learners. The role includes engaging with students, staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure excellence in education delivery. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Grimsby. . Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Teaching qualification with QTS or QTLS
  • Management qualification or proven managerial experience
  • Experience in curriculum development and quality assurance within an educational setting
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including Department for Education and OFSTED standards
  • Strong communication, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Commitment to inclusive education and understanding of EHCPs and diverse learning needs
  • Proficiency in organisational and strategic planning
  • Strong background working with young people aged 14–19 with complex needs, SEMH, ASD, PMLD or mixed SEND profiles
