Senior Product Owner - Customer Portal

Buckinghamshire - 1-2 days pw onsite.

3 month contract (Jan Start)

£500 - £550 a day - Outside IR35

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Owner to lead a Customer Portal initiative for our client. This is an initial three-month contract, with the project expected to run through 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Defining long term customer experience strategy, and roadmap for the Customer Portal.
  • Drive the agile development process, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups with offshore team
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, and external vendors
  • Collaborate with the QA team to ensure product quality and adherence to standards.
  • Identify, document, assess, and mitigate potential risks or issues to the project.
  • Analyse user data and metrics to inform product decisions.
  • Customer engagement and the support of customer readiness for go live.

Experience Required

  • Significant and proven experience as a Digital Product Owner building and delivering Customer Portal/customer focused products
  • High proficiency in user story creation and prioritisation
  • Experience of end-to-end Product Delivery cycle
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of web technologies (REACT)
  • Experience working with offshore development teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to forge strong bonds with key stakeholders
  • Experience gained within the insurance and/or financial services industry - desirable
