  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising day-to-day maintenance operations across the property.
  • Support the delivery of renovation and refurbishment projects on time, within budget, and to company standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to identify maintenance needs.
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance technicians and external contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and fire regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, stock levels, and project progress.
  • Provide hands-on technical support in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or other trade areas as needed.
  • Assist in preparing maintenance budgets and cost estimates.
  • Work closely with the Hotel General Manager and Maintenance & Renovation Manager to implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Travel between hotel sites when required to support projects or emergency maintenance.

Requirement

  • Proven experience in hotel maintenance or facilities management, ideally at a supervisory or assistant manager level.
  • Full UK driving licence – mandatory.
  • Technical background in engineering, electrical, or mechanical maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a maintenance team.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings, especially during project phases or emergencies.
