- Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising day-to-day maintenance operations across the property.
- Support the delivery of renovation and refurbishment projects on time, within budget, and to company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to identify maintenance needs.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance technicians and external contractors.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and fire regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, stock levels, and project progress.
- Provide hands-on technical support in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or other trade areas as needed.
- Assist in preparing maintenance budgets and cost estimates.
- Work closely with the Hotel General Manager and Maintenance & Renovation Manager to implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Travel between hotel sites when required to support projects or emergency maintenance.
Requirement
- Proven experience in hotel maintenance or facilities management, ideally at a supervisory or assistant manager level.
- Full UK driving licence – mandatory.
- Technical background in engineering, electrical, or mechanical maintenance.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a maintenance team.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings, especially during project phases or emergencies.
