Little Staggies Early learning Centre is looking for a hard working and eager to learn individual to join our team as a Apprentice Early Years Practitioner. You will be supported to gain a SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) qualification.

Key duties and Responsibilities include:

  • To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
  • To assist practitioners with their day-to-day tasks such as nappy changing, helping children in the toilet, snack and lunch tidying up, tidying and cleaning up after messy activities etc
  • To help with daily and termly cleaning schedules – to a high standard
  • To follow the lead of the practitioners in ensuring the centre is a warm, stimulating and welcoming environment for young children and their families

Skills/Attributes include:

  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Good interpersonal and social skills with the ability to relate and communicate with adults and children
  • Ability to respect confidentiality
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to support a positive and productive working environment
  • Confidence in using a wide range of technologies
