Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to materials handling, stock management, and shipping operations within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Duties

  • Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 software for inventory tracking and order processing.
  • Handle materials efficiently, including stocking shelves, picking, and packing orders accurately.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
  • Maintain organisation within the warehouse by arranging stock systematically and keeping work areas clean.
  • Perform basic mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance.
  • Assist with construction-related tasks when necessary, supporting the setup or modification of storage areas.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies promptly.

Skills

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, including stock management and materials handling.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts safely; relevant certification is desirable.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 software.
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience with construction tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking & packing processes.
  • Good understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, including load & unload activities.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and move around the warehouse effectively. This role requires a dedicated individual capable of working efficiently within a team while maintaining high safety standards. Prior experience in warehousing or related fields will be highly regarded, along with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills.
