Job description

General Task Management:

  • Take delivery of goods and supplies.
  • Picking/packing orders with attention to detail.
  • Store & handle all goods appropriately.
  • Movement of stock either by hand or utilizing warehouse equipment.
  • Load goods for dispatch.
  • Work well as part of a small team ensuring dispatch deadlines are met.
  • Carry out stock counts as and when required.
  • Ensure that all lifting and maneuvering of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures.
  • Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others.
  • Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value.

Summary*

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be an integral part of our logistics team, responsible for efficiently managing the flow of goods within the warehouse. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, your core skills in picking and packing will ensure accurate order fulfillment. You will utilize premium skills in materials handling and forklift operation to optimize warehouse processes. Additionally, your relevant skills in quality control and heavy lifting will contribute to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. Preferred Requirements

  • Proven warehouse experience, particularly in picking and packing
  • Proficient in materials handling and forklift operation
  • Experience in shipping and receiving processes
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and quality control skills
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and load/unload items efficiently
  • Knowledge of stocking procedures and inventory management
