Our Company:

Kenward is an award-winning regional construction services provider based in the South East.

We are seeking an experienced Plant Fitter/Workshop Manager to maintain our modern fleet of construction plant, agricultural machinery and vans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant machinery, including vans, excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, and other heavy equipment.
  • Diagnostics: Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of vans & machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Parts Replacement: Replace worn or damaged parts, ensuring the use of high-quality components.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent on each task.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other mechanics, operators, and site managers to ensure vans & machinery are available and operational when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Vehicle or Plant Mechanic.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle/plant machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses are preferred.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labour.
