Purpose of the Role:
The HRIS Integration Specialist will serve as owner of a variety of integrations, reports and dashboards. The role holder will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, testing and support of Workday Integrations. Continuous support and troubleshooting of integrations will be required to ensure that updates and system changes are applied as needed, as well as leading advanced and cross-functional report writing responsibilities. This position will collaborate with the HRIS team and functional sponsors to make recommendations for process improvement and best practices. The role will involve strong partnerships with multiple vendor technical contacts and downstream system owners.
Responsibilities:
- Subject matter expert with all Workday integration technologies.
- Demonstrate in-depth Workday Core HR, Recruiting, Absence, Talent, Learning, Compensation knowledge.
- Help with Workday HCM integration work including design, development and testing based on a solid understanding of the Workday Business Object Model.
- Assist with all aspects of data integrations/interfaces with various vendors and other internal systems; Manage and own end-to-end testing with various vendors, Workday-partner, internal system owners.
- Responsible for developing integrations focused on data quality and integrity, which can scale based on the growing needs of the organization.
- Extract data using Workday using custom reports, employing calculated fields and transformations.
- Assist with Workday configuration and Business Process Framework, if needed
- Follows Change Management Processes and Policies.
- Understand business concepts and processes to effectively support the business team with mediating new and existing business and technical challenges.
- Translate user requirements into system specifications leveraging the existing IT infrastructure (software engineering and architecture).
- Drive ongoing enhancements to the Workday platform and stay abreast of new enhancements in each Workday release by collaborating with the HR team as to enablement of new functionality.
- Maintain and ensure the ongoing operational excellence of the HR systems and promote continuous process improvement practices which drive automation, efficiency and exceptional service delivery.
- Collaborate with the Technical teams including IT to build, test and deploy the integrations, reports, workflows, dashboards and Security.
- Responsible to maintain awareness of current trends in HR technology and understand statutory and regulatory requirements with HR and Payroll.
- Engage with the Workday community to remain informed of system enhancements, foundational operation and execution of data management processes.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience of Workday Integration development and maintenance experience.
- Broad functional and technical knowledge of HR, Payroll and Finance processes and systems.
- Advanced analytical skills; ability to lead, develop, conduct, test and document the operation of the HR systems.
- Strong leadership skills in coaching, motivating and developing highly skilled talent.
- Exceptional presentation skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills, possessing the ability to motivate team members to perform the tasks
- Knowledge and understanding of complex HR operations to maintain the credibility of HR systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to engage effectively at all levels for effecting timely progress.
- Innovative problem solver with excellent critical thinking skills.
- Self-starter, able to drive work forward within an agile environment.
- Track record of holding self and others accountable to meet deadlines and achieve business goals.
