We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join the team at Seventy Five at Liberty, a Two Rosette, award-winning restaurant set within one of London's most iconic department stores. Showcasing modern British cuisine with a focus on sustainability and locally sourced produce, the restaurant offers a vibrant and stylish setting where exceptional food and creativity come together.
This is a regular freelance opportunity, ideal for someone looking to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment at one of London's most talked-about dining destinations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the pastry section, overseeing the preparation, production, and service of all desserts, pastries, and baked goods
- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to design and refine seasonal menus, specials, and bespoke creations
- Maintain outstanding standards of quality, presentation, and consistency across all pastry offerings
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures at all times
- Manage pastry stock levels, including ordering, rotation, and minimising wastage
- Support and mentor junior kitchen team members, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment
- Ensure all pastry equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and fully operational
About you
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a quality, high-volume restaurant environment
- A genuine passion for desserts, patisserie, and modern British cuisine
- Highly organised with strong time management skills and the ability to thrive under pressure
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and allergen management
- Flexible, reliable, and a natural team player with a collaborative approach
