Our work environment is fun, high energy and happy and we use our fun course, songs, games and stories to spread the love of language learning to primary-age children.

Le Club Francais & El Club Espanol provides fun language classes and clubs for children and the national company have been operating in the UK since 1985 and prioritise fun learning as a way of speeding up the acquisition process for children. In other words we make learning = fun Our stimulating courses allow children to learn with a variety of fun songs, games, stories and interactive activities, and LCF also offers an in-school programme to provide tuition for children in the curriculum. Our local franchise has been operating since 2007 so we are very experienced in running long lasting clubs and working with schools.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing French-speaking Club leader for our FUN Club Français lunchtime & after-school clubs at 2 schools in the Bolton area (West Bolton specifically) every Friday.

The lunchtime clubs take place from roughly. For the after-school clubs, the French speaker will need to be available to arrive at the school in Bolton around 3pm. There is also potential for more work if successful and dependent on experience and ability to travel.

If you are a Spanish speaker, there is also another role available in the same school for an after school club on Wednesdays, which you could also be considered for.

Note: After school availability may mean arriving at school by 3pm (before parents and traffic arrives) and leaving by 4.30pm at latest in most cases. You'll be paid in relation to the teaching time but it's important to understand the responsibility required of being on time and caring for the children appropriately and with safeguarding in mind.

Teachers should ideally have a car or own transport. These schools are within reach of public transport however it may not be suitable for you.

The role is to start as soon as possible and you'll be taking over from an existing club leader.

Opportunities may also be available with more new clubs after school or at lunchtime in the surrounding areas if you are looking to expand the hours. However, it might suit someone who already has other work on a couple of days, or at weekend, that this job could fit around.

We require a suitable person who has some experience with younger children and/or teaching children in Primary School, or perhaps other school settings or similar.

You MUST:-

• be fluent or near fluent in French (Being fluent in Spanish too is a bonus)
• be available to work at the above specified times
• be enthusiastic about working with children.
• be living near the Bolton area, or willing to travel on a long-term basis (ideally should have a car or willing to use public transport)
• be able to commit to the long term position of club leader for this clubs
• be willing to work as a self-employed tutor
• have an understanding of safeguarding children or be willing to complete training to gain a basic understanding

You must be comfortable (and enthusiastic about) working with children from 4-11. It is preferred that the applicant has some teaching experience here, and it would be valuable to have experience working with children from 4-11 in a school or childcare setting.

Some training will be given, but to be successful, it is important that you have a good understanding of and fluency communicating in English. You will also receive access to LCF's teacher training on demand, as well as access to safeguarding training, the first of which must be completed before starting work.

As this is an urgent position we cannot accept applicants who are NOT already living in the local area, and we will be not be accepting any applicants who do not demonstrate that they live in the North West of England on their CV or covering letter.

Salary is dependent on the type of work - club/in-school and the number of children and length of session, and can range from £21-£35+ per hourly session, with adjusted rates for half-hourly classes and rising with experience gained. The lunchtime club is usually paid per club so you could earn up to £45 based on the current attendance. You will receive a fee based on a the numbers of children you are teaching, rewarding you for growing your group.

Our ideal candidates are either parents who need an extra income, students (who have consistent availability), teachers who have taken a break from teaching, or are recently retired, but wish to teach part time, but we welcome any application from people of all walks of life. Due to the timing of after school clubs it is imperative if you have children that your own children have a permanent childcare plan in place for you to accept this position, as parents depend upon us to be present for their own childcare.
