The Opportunity

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Placement Manager with a background in social work or residential care leadership to take charge of one of our supported living placements. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding young people, leading a skilled team, and ensuring our home operates in line with Ofsted requirements and our Statement of Purpose.

This is more than a managerial role — it's a mission to create safe, nurturing, and development-focused environments for some of society's most vulnerable young people.

Your Key Responsibilities

· Lead all operational aspects of the home in line with Ofsted and safeguarding regulations.

· Ensure the delivery of a safe, therapeutic, and person-centred environment.

· Supervise, support, and develop your team to meet the highest standards of practice.

· Liaise with external professionals, families, and stakeholders to ensure joined-up care.

· Manage budgets, rotas, incidents, and ongoing risk assessments with professionalism and care.

· Uphold and model trauma-informed, anti-discriminatory practice across the service.

· Oversee care planning, transitions, and placement reviews to deliver positive outcomes.

What We're Looking For

· A recognised qualification in Residential Childcare (Level 3) – Level 5 in Leadership and Management highly desirable

· 2+ years' experience managing or working in residential childcare

· Background in social work, youth work, or therapeutic care preferred

· Confident with Ofsted requirements, safeguarding protocols and staff supervision

· Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

· Resilience, empathy, and the ability to inspire others in challenging environments
