Ascendant Fox is a London-based film and television production company run by award-winning and BAFTA-nominated producers Bart Ruspoli and Hester Ruoff. Recent productions include the BBC television series Boiling Point and the feature film Gassed Up for Amazon Prime. The company has a first-look deal with BBC Studios for its TV slate and is dedicated to creating prestige, character-driven drama and cinematic storytelling with distinctive creative voices.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Executive to aid and help oversee all aspects of physical production across Ascendant Fox's growing slate of high-end television drama and feature film projects. The ideal candidate will bring experience in managing productions of varying scale - from micro-budget features to large-scale scripted series - along with a strong grasp of production finance, a passion for creative excellence, and the ability to help lead diverse production teams alongside the producers.

Key Responsibilities

• Help with the entire production process from supporting development through to prep, shoot, post, and delivery.
• Work with producers and line producers to build and manage budgets, schedules, and production plans.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, writers, and other key stakeholders to ensure the creative vision is achieved.
• Liaise with broadcasters, streamers, financiers, and studios on production logistics, delivery, and compliance.
• Support production teams across multiple projects, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
• Work with producers to hire and help supervise production staff, including production managers, coordinators, and assistants.
• Review and monitor cost reports, cashflows, and forecasts, providing regular updates to management.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and key crew; ensure compliance with union, insurance, and legal standards.
• Help oversee post-production workflows, clearances, and final delivery to broadcaster or streamer specifications.
• Maintain best practice in health & safety, sustainability, and diversity across productions.
• Identify emerging production talent and help strengthen Ascendant Fox's freelancer network.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technology, and evolving production standards.

Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience as a Production Executive, Line Producer, or Production Manager in high-end scripted drama and/or feature film.
• Strong budgeting and scheduling expertise across a range of production scales.
• Excellent understanding of UK and international production environments, including tax incentives and co-production structures.
• Experience working with major UK broadcasters and global streamers (BBC, ITV, Sky, Netflix, Amazon, etc.).
• Demonstrate good leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Movie Magic Budgeting/Scheduling, Excel, and production management software.
• Sound knowledge of health & safety, insurance, and compliance.
• Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
