The
CASS Oversight Officer
ensures we not only meet FCA requirements but also set the standard for how a fast-scaling fintech can manage client money with confidence. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure robust CASS compliance by overseeing daily controls, reconciliations, and governance frameworks that safeguard client money and custody assets
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying gaps in existing processes, implementing remediation, and embedding stronger practices that stand up to regulatory and audit scrutiny
  • Partner with leadership to prepare and deliver governance packs, MI, and insights for senior management, regulators, and auditors, translating complex risks into clear actions
  • Promote a culture of accountability by training and advising colleagues across functions, raising awareness of CASS responsibilities at every level
  • Strengthen risk management by linking CASS obligations to 's broader compliance and business strategy, ensuring resilience as we expand globally

Requirements:

  • Deep expertise in FCA CASS rules, with 5–10+ years applying them in practice
  • Strong experience in retail financial services; fintech exposure is a plus
  • Track record of diagnosing control weaknesses and designing scalable solutions
  • Confidence turning complex regulation into practical, business-friendly processes
  • Ability to work across Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Product teams
  • Skilled at presenting insights to senior management and external regulators
  • Hands-on and pragmatic—willing to dive into detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Ownership mentality, with resilience to deliver in a fast-changing environment
  • Bold thinking with the maturity to balance speed and regulatory integrity
