About the Role

Love Wimbledon Business Improvement District (BID) is looking for a proactive and personable
Project Support Co-ordinator
to act as a vital bridge between the organisation and the levy-paying businesses that fund and shape our work. This role is all about building strong, trusted relationships with the diverse business community in Wimbledon Town Centre and ensuring their voices are heard, their needs are addressed, and their involvement in town-wide initiatives is maximised.

As a key member of our small, passionate team, you will play an important role in delivering Love Wimbledon's mission, as outlined in our five-year strategic plan, while helping us shape the terms of our business plan. From high street retailers to independent cafés, national chains to professional service firms, SMEs to global corporates, the role will bring you in contact with a range of exciting businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Business Engagement

  • Proactively liaise with BID businesses and community organisations, ensuring contacts are correct and up to date
  • Work with partners, stakeholders and suppliers on a range of projects, including events and business services

Communications & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team and Town Centre Ranger to raise awareness of and engagement with Love Wimbledon's initiatives and services
  • Advise Love Wimbledon team on business updates, both in weekly briefings and through written updates to feed into our marketing and communication channels

Project & Service Management

  • Monitor performance and liaise with suppliers to ensure high standards are maintained and Love Wimbledon projects are delivered according to contract specifications
  • Liaise with Head of Marketing & Events, wider Love Wimbledon Team and external partners on operational aspects of large seasonal events, supporting smooth delivery and effective business involvement

About You

Essential

  • Experience of project co-ordination
  • Enjoy communicating with people face to face and in writing, and do so with clarity
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Can build relationships with a range of people, adapting your communication style
  • Actively listens but equally not afraid to speak up
  • Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise a variety of tasks, and possessing a keen eye for detail when completing project documentation
  • Personable, with the ability to tactfully use initiative and take a proactive approach to getting things done
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and good general IT skills

Desirable

  • Budgetary experience and financial understanding
  • Local knowledge of Wimbledon area
