Overall Purpose of the JobExpro are currently recruiting a Wireless Operations Engineer to join their Wireless Wells Solutions (WWS) team. This position will be based in Ringwood, Hampshire, UK but there will be a requirement to travel to field locations internationally.
The successful candidate will prepare, install and commission all WWS products and services globally in full compliance with Expro standards and appropriate client/industry requirements.
Key Activities and Accountabilities- Install & commission WWS equipment safely & efficiently at locations globally, delivering accurate pressure & temperature data to client
- Be accountable & responsible for service, preparation, testing, packing, inventory, load out, installation, commissioning & backload of all field equipment (sale & asset) used by the company. These activities must be carried out diligently & efficiently in full compliance with the WWS Quality Management System, to ensure Expro delivers the WWS service/product to the required standard
- Prepare, use, maintain & return all mandatory & site/client specific documentation as outlined in the Field Supervisor's paperwork package & in the job planning process
- Assist the Project Managers/Coordinators in the planning & pre-mobilisation phase of the job life cycle. This may include but is not limited to: Installation plans, risk assessments, FAT's, SIT's, work instructions, job specific procedures, fault finding, supporting other business functions to achieve project delivery, 3rd party interface set up & test, client meetings, pre-job briefs
- Recognise the requirement for Management of Change (MOC) during your daily duties & follow the Expro MOC process.
- Identify, document & report all technology, procedural & equipment deficiencies or failures to the appropriate line management in line with reporting guidelines. To assist with the raising of E-TRAK & further investigation as requested. This may include but is not limited to incident reports, photos, witness statements, weather reports, client daily reports, non-productive time information, daily log, and client NCR's
- When mobilised from home location demonstrate effective communication by ensuring regular updates/handover documents are comprehensively completed & submitted to the operations Project Manager/Coordinator.
- Ensure that all damaged, lost or consumed equipment are recorded on the client job ticket
- Attend pre/post job briefings with the Project Manager/Coordinator and/or in country Expro job owner. Additionally, to attend pre/post job Client meetings as & when required
- Complete all reporting concerning service delivery, including QA & delivery of client end of well report & accurate capturing of detailed sequence of events etc.,
- Display the ability to troubleshoot technology issues during client/Expro SIT's and onsite activities. Further to be able to interpret all variants of WWS data & recognise concerns on data review
- Responsible for ensuring minimal wastage in service delivery, inventory is regularly updated & reported back to the Project Manager
- Recognise where Expro WWS & other Expro product lines could have the potential to add value to a client's well, asset or campaign. Be able to capture these opportunities & feedback to Operations Management team
- Actively support the ongoing training/development of all other field engineers in line with the WWS Learning & Development Field Engineer Workplace Competency System
- Ability to lead operational deployment of WWS Engineering trials when the trials go into a field/test environment, supporting the trial and Engineering team
- Establish & maintain a professional relationship with onsite client representatives
- Be available for work based on a short notice ADHOC call-off basis across all Expro global operating Regions, including remote locations without immediate base support
- Comply with Expro/Client/Location/Country/Duty Holder specific requirements while mobilising from home location, on well site & de-mobilisation to home location (including all travel time)
- Previous oilfield experience in a Cased Hole or Downhole discipline is preferable
- A background in mechanical / electronic engineering principles relevant to the operation and installation of WWS equipment
- Experience in the management of small teams is preferable but not essential
- Experienced and comfortable with working in different countries and multi-cultural environments is desirable
- Experienced in working with / applying for Permits to Work
- The ability to analyse the cause of faults and implement solutions
