Health and Safety Advisor

Location: Cookstown, County Tyrone

We are hiring for our client, a leading professional construction company that operates across the UK and Ireland, providing construction, property redevelopment, and refurbishment services in various sectors.

They are currently seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join their dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in health and safety while contributing to the administrative functions of a growing business.

The Role

As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will:

Assist in the development and continuous improvement of health and safety policies and procedures.Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Support the health and safety manager in investigating accidents and incidents.Help maintain accurate health and safety documentation and prepare performance reports.Organise health and safety training sessions and promote safety awareness across sites.Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and auditors on health and safety matters.Assist in emergency response planning and participate in drills and safety exercises.

The Person

Has NEBOSH or H&S equivalent certification.Experience within a Construction and Main Contractor.Possesses strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills.Has a understanding of health and safety regulations.Works well in a team and thrives in a dynamic work environment.Has a full UK driving licence (preferred, as site visits are required).
