An exciting
Business Systems Analyst role within an Insurance Software Company
combines business analysis, system configuration, and technical delivery within the insurance domain. It requires both client-facing and technical expertise to design, implement, and support tailored software solutions.

The position involves end-to-end ownership of projects from gathering requirements and producing feasibility reports to configuring systems, writing SQL scripts, and delivering user training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure insurance systems to meet client specifications and produce supporting documentation.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical project deliverables.
  • Develop and run SQL queries for reporting and database modifications.
  • Create reports using tools such as SQL, Crystal Reports or Microsoft Report Builder.
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure solutions are technically sound and meet user needs.
  • Design, test, and implement system enhancements or new features.
  • Deliver user training and maintain up-to-date knowledge of system and industry developments.
  • Work independently or as part of a project team to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Business Systems Analyst role within the insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to create innovative solutions.
  • Competent in SQL and familiar with database design and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and take ownership of delivery.
  • Understanding of the full insurance lifecycle and related business processes.

This is a hybrid role that requires 2 days/week in their Essex office.
