About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global financial institution undergoing a major infrastructure modernisation programme. The Infrastructure & Operations Monitoring team plays a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of enterprise systems across on-premises and cloud environments.

You'll be part of a collaborative, technically driven team responsible for proactive monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement — helping to safeguard critical financial services and maintain operational resilience across a complex international environment.

This is a hands-on role, ideally suited to someone with a strong background in infrastructure monitoring and deep expertise in
LogicMonitor
, combined with a passion for operational excellence and automation.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Proactively monitor infrastructure platforms including servers, networks, cloud, and storage systems using tools such as
    LogicMonitor
    , SolarWinds, or Tivoli.
  • Investigate and respond to alerts and incidents, performing root cause analysis and coordinating resolution across teams.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide operational support during maintenance windows or unplanned outages.

Continuous Improvement & Optimisation

  • Maintain and enhance monitoring configurations to improve accuracy, reduce noise, and deliver meaningful insights.
  • Support infrastructure recovery and resilience testing, contributing to ongoing service improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure systems meet performance and availability SLAs.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Create and maintain operational documentation, incident reports, and process runbooks.
  • Produce reporting on monitoring metrics, incident trends, and system performance for management and audit purposes.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience in infrastructure operations, monitoring, or systems administration.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in LogicMonitor
    configuration, dashboards, and alert tuning.
  • Familiarity with other enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Tivoli).
  • Experience supporting hybrid environments across
    on-premises and cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
    .
  • Solid understanding of
    ITIL processes
    — incident, problem, and change management.
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation and integration tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills; able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.

Desirable:

  • Certifications such as ITIL, AWS/Azure Associate, or CompTIA Server+/Network+.
  • Experience in operational resilience, disaster recovery, or regulatory testing (e.g., DORA, FCA PS21/3, ECB CROE).
