As a Manufacturing Sales Engineer you will be required to:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Understand customer requirements and translate them into manufacturable solutions
  • Prepare and deliver tailored technical presentations and proposals
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness
  • Identify new business opportunities and support strategic growth initiatives
  • Provide accurate quotations and lead negotiations to contract closure
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, and machining technologies
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings

Candidate:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or engineering within the machining or CNC manufacturing industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining processes, materials, and tolerances
  • Proven track record of successful sales and customer relationship management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification preferred
  • Experience in aerospace, oil & gas, or defence sectors (preferred)
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality assurance processes
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to business development
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally internationally
