A rapidly expanding engineering/manufacturing business is looking to appoint a
Sales Director
to lead national sales activity and drive strategic commercial growth. The organisation has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, high-specification solutions to major private and public-sector clients across the UK.

The Role

You will shape and execute the national sales strategy, manage key accounts, and build long-term partnerships with customers across a range of sectors. You'll lead a small sales team while retaining direct ownership of high-value opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the company's UK sales strategy.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across multiple industries.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with major national clients.
  • Work closely with internal engineering, operations and commercial teams on proposals and tenders.
  • Report on sales performance, forecasting, pipelines, and market activity.
  • Represent the business at meetings, customer sites and relevant industry events.

About You

  • Proven experience in a Sales Director or senior business development role.
  • Background in manufacturing, engineering, technical products, or solution-based sales.
  • Strong relationship builder comfortable working with both private and public-sector customers.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, proactive sales approach.
  • Must live within approximately 1 hour of the office and be able to travel across the UK as required.
