Quantity Surveyor Opportunity Central London

Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are currently looking for an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to manage the project budget in order to attain commercial targets.

Candidates should have 3-4 Years previous experience on new build and fit out type projects and a third level qualification in a Quantity Surveying or Construction related subject. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, be articulate and pro-active as well as having excellent organisational and communication skills.

Main duties will include:

  • Preparation & management of the project budget
  • Procurement of subcontractors and agreement of subcontract conditions
  • Commercial control of subcontract packages
  • Value and agree the cost of any variations
  • Prepare cost, value and reconciliation monthly reports on each assigned project
  • With regards to estimate, build up costs for each element of the work, identify labour, material requirements and source and obtain quotations where applicable.
  • Liaise with purchasing / buying for specialist providers
  • Attend internal hand-over meetings
  • Provide feedback information to the Estimating team regarding tender values vs. actual costs
  • Maintain working relationships with the client and project team
  • Providing contractual advice to the Project Manager
  • Undertake any other duties and projects allocated, which are within the individuals sphere of Knowledge, experience or competency
