Information Security Advisor

We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in information security and risk management. While formal qualifications (like ISC2 CC or CISMP) or prior experience are helpful, they're not essential. If you're enthusiastic, willing to learn, and have transferable skills from IT, data protection, or compliance, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Information Security Officer in reviewing and assuring IT systems against the ISO27001 standard.
  • Helping audit different areas of the organisation to ensure compliance with national policing security standards.
  • Assisting with investigations into security incidents and helping to improve our response.
  • Promoting awareness of good security practices through training and communications.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of security policies and procedures.
  • Conducting physical security reviews in line with national and police guidance.
  • Collaborating closely with our Cyber Security team to ensure a joined-up approach to protecting our systems and data.
