Freelance ASF Tutor – Health & Social Care

Remote | Freelance | Salary: Negotiable (DOE)

SCCU are looking for an experienced and passionate ASF Tutor to deliver high-quality learning across the Health & Social Care sector. If you're committed to helping adult learners achieve their goals and want a flexible, remote role where you can make a real impact, this could be the perfect fit.

About the Role

As a Freelance ASF Tutor, you will deliver engaging training and assessment for learners completing short courses in Health & Social Care (Levels 1–3). Working via our Virtual Classroom and/or E-Learning platform, you will provide high-quality feedback, support learners' progression, and collaborate with delivery staff and external partners to ensure an excellent learner experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and training to adult learners (Levels 1–3).
  • Mark learner work and return feedback within agreed KPIs.
  • Support learners with guidance on ASF pathways and progression routes.
  • Respond promptly to learner queries and concerns.
  • Work with Tutors, Team Leaders and support agencies (including Life & Progress).
  • Contribute to learner achievement targets and overall performance KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate records and work within Ofsted expectations.
  • Promote a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

About You

Qualifications & Experience

  • Level 3 teaching qualification (or equivalent).
  • QTS and CAVA (or equivalent assessor qualification).
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections.
  • Background in education, tutoring, training or development with proven results.
  • Strong knowledge of FE provision and learner needs.
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms and learner information systems.

  • Ability to motivate learners and manage engagement online.
  • Proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
